Chaska Homes was started in 2003 by Jean du Toit, and operates across the Cape Peninsula and beyond. I used my son’s second name in the company name, the meaning being “first born son” because it felt appropriate, since I was giving birth to a concept that was close to my heart.
Due to the stigma that follows estate agents and estate agencies, my goal from the start was to be the antithesis of your typical agency. For instance, we strive to make the transaction of selling or letting a property as smooth as possible, as stress free as possible, and as pleasant an experience as possible.
Taking into account that often our job involves people moving house, which is quite a large stressor, this is achieved with empathy and a general calm headed approach to the job at hand. Hence our saying “Quietly getting on with the job”. Our approach to the industry translates into most of our business taking place with past clients and referred clients.
We do not conduct show houses or use for sale boards, unless specifically asked to do so, as we have found that these old fashioned ways of marketing offer no benefit to the seller, and in fact add a risk factor to the marketing of property, and have become nothing more than a cheap form of agency advertising.
Please call or email us if you are considering selling or letting a property.
